Features

Everything usually scattered across several apps and websites — in one window.

Every version

The full Mojang manifest: releases, snapshots, beta and alpha — from rd-132211 to the latest snapshot. Search and filters included.

Mods made easy

Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt install from the launcher. The Modrinth catalogue: search for your version, dependencies, updates, disable without deleting.

Instances and modpacks

Every instance has its own mods and worlds folder, memory and Java. A .mrpack file becomes a ready instance, and you can pack your own back.

Offline nickname and Microsoft

A nickname to play with friends or a real Microsoft account — as many accounts as you like. Tokens are stored encrypted.

Java handled for you

Java 8 for old releases, 17 and 21 for new ones — the launcher downloads official Mojang builds into its own folder. Nothing to install system-wide.

Your own server

Vanilla, Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Quilt, Paper and Purpur: download, a console with commands, backups and a check that the server can be reached from the internet.

Worlds and backups

Every world of every instance in one list. Backup before launch, copy a world to another instance, archives in your Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox folder.

Skins

Your own library with a 3D preview: 64×64, HD or classic 64×32. A Microsoft account's skin goes to the Minecraft service, an offline nickname's — to an instance with the MCL Skin mod.

When the game crashes

The launcher reads the crash report itself and explains in plain words what broke and which mod is to blame.

FPS and statistics

A tiny agent counts frames on any version. The launcher notices when an instance starts to lag and tells you which mods appeared since.

46 themes, 15 languages

Twenty dark and twenty light themes, each with its own accent. English, Українська, Polski, Deutsch, 日本語 and ten more — no restart needed.

Light and self-contained

No third-party libraries: the launcher itself is about 2 MB. It updates from inside, checking the SHA-256 of every file.

A Minecraft launcher that does it all for you

TCLauncher is a free Minecraft launcher for Windows, macOS and Linux. It downloads any game version — from classic 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 to the latest — along with the right Java, so you can play minutes after installing.

Mods, modpacks and shaders install from the Modrinth catalog in one click, with all dependencies. The launcher checks that mods work together, holds back updates that would break a build, and explains why the game crashed.

Play with friends in rooms without router setup, run your own Paper, Fabric or Forge server, back up worlds to Google Drive and see your game statistics. Offline nicknames and Microsoft accounts are both supported.

Step-by-step guides

FAQ

Do I need to buy Minecraft?

An offline nickname is enough for singleplayer and servers with online-mode=false. Licensed servers and a skin everyone can see require a Microsoft account that owns the game.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. What now?

That's how SmartScreen reacts to apps without a paid developer certificate. Click “More info” → “Run anyway”. To make sure the file is ours, compare its SHA-256 with the one in the download section.

Do I need to install Java?

Not for the Windows archive: Java is included, and the launcher downloads Java for the game itself. The jar version needs Java 17 or newer.

How do I get updates?

Nothing to set up: the launcher asks our server about new versions by itself, and when one is out the Updates tab shows a “1”. The version history lives here: releases.json
The launcher downloads the new version, verifies its SHA-256 and replaces itself after a restart. Settings, instances and worlds stay where they are.

Where are the files and how do I uninstall?

Versions, instances, worlds and settings live in %APPDATA%\.tclauncher. To remove the launcher completely, delete the folder you extracted the archive to and that folder. Back up your worlds first if you need them.

Does the launcher work offline?

Yes. Without a connection the version list comes from cache, and installed versions and instances launch as usual. You need the internet to download a new version, mods or to sign in with Microsoft.

Is the launcher paid?

The launcher is free. Premium ($4.50 a month) unlocks every AI assistant feature and 21 exclusive themes; Premium+ ($9) also doubles the assistant requests. Without premium the assistant still works: chat and crash analysis, ten requests a day.
